Stop Smoking Level 2 Training

Join forces with us and become a Stop Smoking Subcontractor with One You Westminster/One You Kensington & Chelsea. You can complete our level 2 Stop Smoking Advisor Training Course (in line with National Centre for Smoking Cessation & Training, NCSCT) to deliver smoking cessation services in your local area for One You services.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Full training to become a certified Level 2 Stop Smoking Practitioner (you don’t need to be a Healthcare Professional).
  • Dedicated support from our One You Westminster/One You Kensington & Chelsea team.
  • Resources including a carbon monoxide monitor to use as a motivational tool.

BEING A SUBCONTRACTOR

  • Deliver the 6-week Stop Smoking programme to patients, by phone or face-to-face.
  • Carry out carbon monoxide readings.
  • Hold weekly appointments with patients.
  • Offer behavioural support and medication to support a quit attempt (costs reimbursed).
  • Receive payment for your stop smoking activity.

GP SURGERY BENEFITS

  • Helps the surgery achieve QOF outcomes associated with smoking cessation.
  • Paid by outcome model means your surgery could receive up to a maximum of £70 per patient that quits.
  • Reimbursement of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) through a voucher scheme.
  • Direct contact with patients, removing the barrier of a patient not signing up to our service on referral (strike while the iron is hot!).
